browser help

Greetings When internetting, my 'puter does something very annoying, and I cant figure out how to stop it. If I am switching between pages and one is loading and I switch to another or the previous page, once the new page starts to load it will pop up and take over the screen. How do I, or more like it, where do I go to turn this function off. I would like for the screen to load in the background and let me decide when to click and view. Hope this make sense. Looked everywhere to turn this off but no luck

Running MS XP home version

thanks

To prevent applications from stealing the focus from the window you are working
  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop
  3. Edit the key ForegroundLockTimeout
  4. Give it a value of 00030d40
