I use an HP 1600 All-in-one at work. It has a lot of scan options but normally it leaves a red tint on my scans that I have to take care of using Photoshop. If you are familiar with Photoshop and your scanner is able to take 600+ resolution scans you'll be okay. I think it was around $120 a few years ago.

I've got a HP Deskjet F380. So far I like it. Think I paid 79 for it.

I bought the HP 1600 also for Christmas a few years back.
I am on my third one, I had lots of problems with the first two not printing after a week, by not picking up the paper.

They sent me the third one and it worked fine for a few days and quit.
I got so pissed off I kicked the printer almost as hard as I could and knocked the rear of it off.
I put it back on and it has worked flawlessly since then.

Sometimes you just gotta kick the living crap out of something to get your point across.

The HP software that came with it also lets me scan multiple documents and turn them into a PDF file, pretty cool.

I can also use it as a copier when the PC is off.
I paid $120 back then, Costco had them for $100.

Look for the one with the least expensive supplies. They basically give away the printers these days, then charge you a small fortune on ink or toner!
