I am starting a project for our airsoft team.
We play night games and use a tracer unit to illuminate the glow in the dark bb's.
I have been talking to a guy who installed a very bright UV light inside the gun to activate the bb's glow.
This guy told me that i can not use L.E.D. lights because they do not put out enough light. He said i need a 5 mm UV light bulb.
Doing some research on the net i get pretty lost. I have found some bulbs that state they are 7000 MCD. I know (1) mcd is equal to a "millacandela" or 1/1000 of a candella.
I had emailed this person and asked him if 7000 mcd would be enough. He said no.
Apparently he got his stuff from Radio Shack. We have been to several Radio Shack's and none carry a "5mm UV bulb".
Here is the video of what i have been talking about.
