22re swap questions
Hello, I have an 82' yoti and I'm swapping my 22r carbed motor for a newer 22re. My question is do I have to get a Toyota ecu for the fuel injection or are there others that I can use? Me and my boss are doing the swap at work and he worked for precision turbo for 6 years so we plan on eventually turboing the motor. So are there any stand alone fuel management systems I can use? Thanks

If you dont feel like messing with electronics go propane. It will also help when you turbo it. All you need is a 22r distributor, all the extra holes in the intake plugged and the propane equipment.
Propane has a higher octane than pump gas so the is no need for low compression pistons, or 8$ per gallon race fuel. Just run the propane mixer to the intake of the turbo and set your a/f and wastegate pressure and your good to go
