Spot Satellite Messenger

Has anyone bought one of these yet?
I have seen a few websites that track a users progress in their adventure whether backpacking, hiking, or 4wheeling.

Friends can bring up a webpage and watch your progress, and you can also use it to send an alert that you are in dire need of emergency assistance.

Here is the home page of The Spot.

There is a lot of info at the site above, plus a video.

Funny thing, I was just looking at that this morning on a local stores webpage. I was thinking it would also work great to locate your vehicle if stolen. But it definitely seems like a must for anyone who wheels alone
