Scanners
Anyone have scanners in their rigs? I have a Uniden Bearcat BC350a that im thinking about putting in my t100. im unsure what to do about an antenna. I really dont want the telescoping antenna floating around in the cab. Post a pic of your setup.

i have one of those, too. nice little radio. i just have it hooked up to my stock antenna. radio shack sells an adapter to use a cb antenna with it. not much to look at, but i want to build a center console and have that on the inside and out of the way.
i'll get pictures up later

here's a calculator for figuring out how big of an antenna you'll need. there is a formula, but the site does it for you. at 150 mhz, you'll need a 3.12 foot antenna (based on half-wave), which is pretty close to the stock antenna, or a 3 foot whip.
here's the part for hooking up the scanner to a cb-type antenna
here's the part for hooking up the scanner to the stock radio antenna. you'll also need an extension if you're not mounting it directly below the radio
here's my old cb set-up (uses the same type of antenna connector as the scanner). the radio is for sale, by the way
