question for the kenwood nav. owners

Im looking at a dv2100 for my kvt 911 dvd and I was wondering if it can help me with backroads and trails out west (Colorado area). What kind of features may come in handy. Or does the software allready have maps of these roads.

Alsp how do you like the system over all.
