lowrance h20/ laptop

Searched quite a bit didn't see any specific "up to date " info so here goes....What is necessary to make my lowrance h20 operate through my laptop?? ie. using my laptop as a monitor for the g.p.s. if that makes any sense??? thanks for any input whatsoever

Should work. I used to use a cheap Garmin handheld unit hooked to the serial port of a laptop and ran Copilot GPS software and it worked just fine.

Set your receiver to output "NMEA" and use this data cable

And use your gps enabled navigation software of choice.
