Should work. I used to use a cheap Garmin handheld unit hooked to the serial port of a laptop and ran Copilot GPS software and it worked just fine.
Set your receiver to output "NMEA" and use this data cable http://www.amazon.com/Lowrance-Cable.../dp/B0009J4I00 And use your gps enabled navigation software of choice.

Here's a free GPS program
http://www.easygps.com/gps_receivers...Finder_H20.asp BTW I found all this using google in about 5 minutes

Is this the same type of cable ie. will it accomplish the same thing??http://www.pc-mobile.net/usgm.htm cause it's a lot cheaper Thanks Mike
