Intalled Cobra 75

Hey I thought I'd put this question out there to see if anyone has experienced this. I just installed my Cobra 75, directly wired it to my battery and grounded it to a screw in my engine bay. Eveything works but my radio channels are all messed up. All my channels are different and the ones that came in clearly are scrambles. Is this normal? Any ideas of what is causing this? Thanks for any input

FIRGURED THIS ONE OUT. ONE MORE QUESTION BELOW

You mean you set it to channel 5 and you show up on channel 22 on your friends radio?

OK, my CB was working fine earlier today when I installed it. No I don't have an antenna yet, but I was just listening to the weather making sure everything worked. And everything worked fine, till tonight. Tried getting a weather reading and it came on for a split second and now I cant get it to work. I didn't try talking to anyone, just listening. Is this all because I don't have an antenna yet? Is it fixable? Cuz I'd be bummed and feel like an idiot if I just burned my radio.

If you don't have an antenna, you're only going to hear static. If its not powering up, check your power connections obviously, and if they seem to be good, check the fuse. Assuming it is powering up, the next thing I would look at would be the speaker inside the CB.

I have a Cobra that will not work for a couple hours after being in a hot car. I see you posted in May...are you somewhere in a hot climate?
