3rd Gen truck CB mounting?

Where are some popular mounting spots for CB radios in these trucks?

I don't know a whole lot about CBs, i just know that i want one.

And my call-sign shall be C-Note.

Not sure about 3rd gen but i know on the second gen your best bet is to pop it in your ashtray.

I have mine mounted in dash. My friends do as well. They have a 98 Taco, and a 2000 Runner. I have an 03 Taco. If you would like I'll get some pics up of how we did it.

I had mine on the tranny hump, which got old pretty quick. It really depends on how big your CB is and how much your gonna have your hands on the thing. If you think you're gonna be switching betwen channels all the time, put it on the tranny hump in between the seats resting on the actual seat. A Cobra NightWatch fits their snug. I;ve got mine mounted on the glovebox door and it workd out for me pretty well.

second DIN slot under the factory radio. hardest part was getting up the courage to pop the dash plates off w/o instructions to expose the DIN slot under the OEM radio. some disassembly required.

i was busy reading the instructions on dash removal. by the time i looked up and was ready to go, my friend already had the dash apart and was fitting the radio... he was like "we don't need no stinkin' instructions..."

You must have done a search. What a novel idea.
