Where is the stereo/clock fuse located?

I just blew the fuse that controls the stereo and clock. And am having one hell of a time finding the damn thing. The truck is an '87 4runner. Somebody please help me out, thanks.

"TaylorP", I'm not certain about this at all since I have a '94, but if you've got an access panel in your drivers' side kick panel, I'd suggest looking there.
There will be a diagram of the fuse locations on the backside of the access panel.
Just trying to help.

yea i checked there but the problem is that the diagram is missing so all the fuses are exposed with no indication of which is which.

Can't help you there, as I'm not certain whether or not their positions would stay similar throughout the years &/or models.

I would suggest that you do one or two things:
Buy a "Haynes" or "Chilton's" manual;
Use the "Search" feature on this site & look for, say, "fuses" or "fuse locations", or even "radio fuse".

Good luck & I hope this helps.

Looking at the fuse box in the cab driver's side kick panel, top left and going DOWN (this is on my 85)

it should be a 15A fuse (blue) that controls the cig lighter, the clock, power ant and radio etc.

On mine it is in position 6 or like this

1 3 6 9
2 4 7 10
5 8 11

As I said, mine for the radio/clock is position 6 and is a 15A fuse (blue)

Good luck and I hope that helps.
