welcome to yotatech!

search on here and you will see lots of creative ways people put them in

some have put them in boxes and mounted them to the floor behind the seats and some have accualy put them in the pannels
it all depends on what you want to do

head unit, stereo, receiver, they are all the same thing. whatever you want to call it. putting in one 10' sub would require a new "stereo" w/ sub out wires in the back, an amp, amp wiring kit, the sub and sub box. its easier than it sounds. about 400 to 500 dollars later you are impressing your friends.

are you building a box or just buying a pre-fab one?

first look at the volume specification for the sub. then use an angle finder and find out the angle of the rear seat. once you have both then find a "sub box wizard" on the internet where you can type in the volume needed and angle of the box. built that ind either bolt it to the floor or screw it to the back of the seat

well, putting something solid over it would not work, i really do not think that you could do that and the sub still sound good

Actually, I had the lid off with a tube inside for the port but because the 5 gallon Blitz metal gas can is a wee small for the 10" sub it sounds better with the lid on. I need to swap out the foam stips inside for that cotton pillow stuffing stuff and I think that will be about the best performance.
