Subs pop

I have on 04 TRD Prerunner. I installed my system yesterday & I am concerned over something. I have two 10" Punch's with a 500 watt amp & Kenwood deck. I've had the same system in my past several vehicles, so I know its a good system. My concern is that when I turn the truck off the subwoofers make a popping sound & jump. I noticed that when you play with the RCA jacks it will do the same thing. Never had the problem before. Any help?

Make sure everything is grounded good! Amp, Head unit, Etc.

Bad grounds cause all kinds of weird issues and noises.

You also might try a different set of RCA's just to rule that out.

Did you run your RCA cord next to your power cord?

That sounds most reasonable to me, never do it, just causes interference, as I stated above

take some electrical tape or heatshrink wrap and put it over your connectors on the RCA's I had mine bump each other occasionally and produce a similar effect.

x2 on the grounding make sure you have a good connection take some sand paper and clean up the area where your ground wire contacts the chassis.

Like scuba said dont run the rca's next to the power wire or anything else for that matter and if you can get the twisted RCA's they cut down on interference.

sounds like a ground loop to me. check all your grounds as stated before, also if you have more than one amp make sure they are both grounded at the same spot and that you have a solid ground point, all paint removed etc. also try grounding your headunit somewhere else.
