Subs acting crazy
Recently put subs back into truck after about a year of sitting in my closet, and they are acting very strange. They will start BLASTING out a steady bass tone at random times while I'm listening to music (I know how retarded that sounds; isn't that what they're supposed to do, DAR???).
It does not matter what volume my deck is at, the bass will blast at the same pitch and volume, and will not stop until I turn the bass off. Also, when I go over bumps, I can hear the subs thump. Also, when I eject cds, I can hear my subs still pumping out while my deck is flipped down to remove cds? Anyone know what is going on here? I am fairly sure I have everything wired correctly, as I had them installed for a couple of weeks before everything started going crazy. I havn't really gone over everything anally yet as this really turned into a problem on the way back from a road trip recently, and have been sick as a dog since then. Seen this section for the first time and figured I'd ask the brains on here what they thought. Thanks in advance for any replies, ideas.

Start by tracing the speaker wires back to the main source and make sure that there are not any breaks , fray's or cuts grounding out somewhere.
Next have the amp checked to make sure it is not having issues sending out a signal to the speakers it is possible that the wires inside the amp could have broke or frayed wire to the RCA jack Then if they both check out OK try the deck and make sure that it is putting out a good signal and not have a broken or frayed wire to the output RCA jack You should also check the speaker wires to the voice coils to make sure they don't have a broke or frayed wire to them causing the hit and miss signals you are getting.
