SCION mp3 radio in an '86 4Runner
It all started because I wanted to play mp3 CD's. After determining that all of the aftermarket radios had tiny buttons I began looking for a factory radio. I found an '06 Scion radio on ebay and won it for $100. I then used my resources(thanks to Curt and Katie at LeMieux Toyota Parts Department) and obtained the connectors I needed. A hour or so with both electrical diagrams and I had the harness. I have not yet wired the mp3 jack or the steering wheel controls, but that seems like a fun project. I also hooked up a 10" sub that a co-worker had in his basement. I like the radio, for someone looking to do the same I would recommend either this radio or a newer 4Runner if you can find it(I like the knobs a little better). It required just a little trimming of the bezel and it fills the space nicely. Currently I wrote the diagram on a scratch piece of paper, but if anyone wants it I can put it together.

no, unfortunatly I don't, but I have a pretty good mental one and I can also get drawings if you need something specific or I could just take a picture the next time someone wants an upgrade at work(I am a Scion Salesman).
