New Sirius FM optimizer upgrade; what's best for the 4runner?
By now, If you own a Sirius satellite radio, you've probably received an email notice sent out to everyone concerning the FM transmitter on the radio:
http://siriusxmnews.com/2008/08/opti...tter-for-free/ In short, I guess the FM transmitter signal is too strong and Sirius has agreed to upgrade or "optimize" your current system with a choice of 4 options: Direct wired connection, cassette adapter, FM extender cable, or Direct adapter professionally installed. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with any of these options on their 4runner? I'm getting reception via the regular FM transmiiter now and need to decide which option to upgrade to. Does the stock 3rd gen CD player/Cassette have a LINE IN or AUX IN jack in the back? I'd love to hear from people who have the Direct FM adapter installed. If this gets too complicated, there's always XM I guess....ha ha
