Alpine CDE-9852 rear speaker trouble

I just got a new deck and installed it,when i turn on the deck it starts up in radio mode and when its in radio and i have the fade all the way to the back you can hear static from the radio,when i turn on the cd player with the rear in the back you cant hear anything.Any ideas would it make a difference if i plugged my power antenna thing in?
