mine are in my door panels...It is a small cab, not many choices, you might be able to get something behind the seats (not much) unless you are short and don't might driving with your set forward and knees in your throat.
Good luck!

Yea man, the door panels are probably the best spot. And you only need two speakers anyway.

looks like a real clean install. I was looking for more of a front stage though since I will only be runnig 2 speakers probably of the 4" size. They will need to be infront of me to sound worth anything and like I stated earlier door panels are not an option because I dont have any. That is a reall nice lookin install though. Props.

Notice in the second picture I did not have door panels. You do not need door panels to put speakers in the door.
I did realize after I got my panels on though, that the ride is VERY much quieter WITH door panels and the speakers have much better tone also.

I like the idea of deals on the top of the dash....I had though about making little fiberglass enclosures that sit above the left and right vents but dont know if I want to put that much time into this. What about the factory speaker in the dash? What size is is and can you find aftermarket speakers in that size? or would 2 4" speakers fit where it is? Thanks again for all the help guys! Thomas

I wasnt aware that there was a factory speaker in the dash. I thought there were just the 2 4s in the doors. Is that what those holes in the center(ish) of the dash are for?
I think your best bet is the 2 on top of the dash. You said its a trail rig so it doesnt have to be pretty.Idea for a (ugly but functional) box off the top of my head. -Use something like 1/4" square dowel to build a frame for the box. Maybe in a wedge shape to fit closer to the windsheild (I belive you will be able to fit one on to the left of the gauges so it will be even) -Get some peices of 1/8" ply to cover the sides. You should be able to build it without curves. I imagine you could bend and staple some stiff cardboard if you wanted some curves. -Seal it up with glue or caulking. Like I said it wont be pretty but I think it would work.
