Welcome to YotaTech.
I deleted your other thread, exactly the same as this one, in the 3rd gen forum. I did some searching for you and I didn't find a whole lot either. I also went to Crutchfield's site and it looks like you just need to measure the enclosure your sub is in now. You'll probably also want to measure the distance between the mounting holes on the sub to have more to go on. Take that and do some shopping. From the threads I found after searching you'll probably want to replace the amp too - your best bet is to tear into it and see what you have now. Once you figure out your starting place take the specs out and go shopping based on how much you want to upgrade and what your budget is. That's the best I can do for ya, good luck and post up with whatever you end up getting. Fink

Yea, sorry for creating that double thread - I figured I could get a wider response if I made another post in another forum.
If the problem with the output is actually with the subwoofer, how difficult is it to replace? Would I have to rewire many components and replace the amp as well? Or does that just depend on what I purchase? One more thing as well, as I forgot to mention: If I were to be adding more subs and replacing a few OEM speakers in the future, would it be advisable to change the HU? Or could I just live with the OEM one? Last edited by James_T; 07-17-2009 at 05:28 AM. |
