Late response, but maybe still useful- IIRC, there is some sort of basket for the factory rears in the panels, are there not? According to crutchfield, you can fit anything between a 5.25" & a 6.5" without too much turmoil. A pair of 6x9's will fit the rear with a little trimming. There are also the 2 tweeters in the roof by the back cargo light. I'd imagine a pair of component 6.5's would be your best bet if somehow the tweets are blown too.

Here is my rear speaker mounting solution utilizing the extra cab rear side cubby holes. An old school compass and Milwaukee jigsaw are your friends.
Combined with a low cost modern infotainment system and upgraded front speakers, this is a really nice sound for me.
