Private Message Notifications

Don't know if it's happened to anyone else, but over the last 48 hours, I've been receiving mulitiple emails regarding new PM's, sometimes 3 emails in a row about the same PM.

Okay, I am still having issues, but it's getting stranger....
I received notification for a reply to a reply, before I received notification of the first message. Make sense?
okay, thook sent me a pm and i was online so saw the popup in the forum. I replied to that. then he replied to my reply. I got the email regarding his first message about 45 minutes after I got the email about the second message.

The message headers are also off. So it seems YT is having problems with their SMTP server and vBulletin integration. email bang path / header contents / full emails can be forwarded to a mod if required.

Right now I am not gettiny any notifications at all. Stopped about 10am this morning.

I have zero Internet access at home, my cable modem took a dump, or the lines did.
Comcast coming over Wednesday evening to look into it.

I did however log into Comcast Webmail here at work, and I got emails telling me I had new PMs on the forum here.

I do know the email server here can get backed up as it is processing hundreds of emails every few minutes with the size of the membership here.

I will forward this thread onto the data center so they can look into it.

Yeah, Internet is back on at home again.
It fixed itself.

Anyways, I got email today from the server here for every PM that I got.
Also emails do not always arrive in the exact order you would expect for a PM notification.

They go out in batches, and one might beat the first one if it takes a different freeway to your PC.

Not just PM's. I am getting no notifications for replys in the threads either. I haven't gotten a message from Yotatech in 2 days!

hmmmm... have your security settings been changed posibly? sometimes those "updates" that auto upload change things. maybe the spam filter is stopping the messages from getting through.

I am still getting emails for the following:
1. Private messages
2. Thread updates I subscribe to
3. The IS Bot plugin that alerts me a spam bot is trying to reg up to shoot spam our way
The latter I get close to 100 emails per day alone from that.

'Coug, could it be your ISP may have blackballed the server here for spam?
ISPs have done that before, including Comcast that I am with.
The data center had to contact Comcast and let them know it was not spam.

That happens a lot to forums that send out mass email like this one does.

i haven't had the problem since I signed up in '02 aside from the occasional hiccup.

I got a few notifications today, but nothing near where i should have. Its odd.
