People sponsering yotatech?

Just noticed today a few members with blue usernames and the word "sponsering member" below. I know some folks (such as waskillywabbit) have had this for a while becuase of their online business. This I think is great. Now all of a sudden, I've noticed more members with the "sponsering member" change. Some of these people have been members here for a while and have great knowledge and input, but I have never known them to operate an online bussiness. Maybe I've never noticed.

Is this a new feature, sort of like a contributing member, but maybe with a 5 year plan? What does a person have to do to become a "sponsering member"?

Just an observation I made, maybe I'm out of the loop a bit. Just curious.

Daniel

Stuff I'd do if I went crazy: SAS, 7mgte or 1UZ swap, and as much offroad goodies as $$ will allow.

Great! Makes sense now. Thanks for the PM too, Corey. This site seems to always come up with great ideas.

Not trying to be stingy; but I'm in a bit of a money crunch. Plus there's other sites I want to help keep free as well.
What's the minimum amount necessary to become a contributing member?

I'm sorry I can't just drop $25 down, but like I said I want to help others- not to mention I'm on food stamps and medicaid :|

At the shop we subscribe to an online transmission database and tech forum. Around $200 dollars a year, but it saves me a lot of time and money not having to have individual FSMs for every type of vehicle I service. Well worth the cost.

The first week I found YotaTech.com, I saved about $300 in labor and parts. Over the next month I saved over $800 on various little things on my truck I repaired or replaced. I was able to do the jobs right the first time without a lot of time swapping out parts to fix the problems. $100 seems extremely reasonable to me, especially given the money I saved. $300 on the rear window fix alone, thanks guys. You can look for me to become a contributing or sponsoring member in the coming weeks. I just recently started reading around on the site not just the 2nd gen tech section. I didn't realize what a cool place it was before then.

Yeah, I've learned a ton on this site. Prior to me joining this site, I had never done any of my own work. Now, I've gotten to where I can do a timing belt or waterpump. I still have a lot to learn and will probably ask more dumb questions. This site has saved me tons of money--probably more than $1500. I wish I could contribute more, but I'm going to have to hold off on that for a bit. Sweet site though.

YotaTech is indeed a great resource and a wealth of information and friendly guys with the same passion for offroading and Toyota's. Anything you can donate is great and helps out Corey and the Gang pay the bills!
