Lightbulb new build thread folder

I think that the new build thread folder is a great idea, but I think it is gonna get clogged up and a pain to go through unless you have subfolders along the lines of the current folders.
suggestions would be:
1st gen truck 79-83
2nd Gen truck 84-88
3rd gen truck 89-95
tacoma
1st gen 4runner 84-89
--you get the picture

might make more work for Fink
but figure he is up to the challenge

I appreciate you looking out for me, it is a LOT of work getting things moved and all of them matching the perms for the sections.

We thought about having sections within it but decided we thought a pool would be better - can't remember why right now but we did for some reason.

One thought I had would be to have general sections:

4Runner's
Pickup's (pre-Tacoma)
Tacoma's
T-100's
Tundra's
FJ's
etc....

One reason we're making all the thread titles be uniform is to help in searching.
When you search, it's best to use the Advanced Search option where you can tell it which sections you want to search in.
If you choose to have it search thread titles only you can type in what you're looking for and viola, you'll find several build threads for that vehicle.

Once we get all the threads moved over and renamed it will be much easier to go in and move them into folders or whatever later on.

I/we do appreciate the feedback, in the end I think sections would be a good idea, after seeing the sheer number of build threads out there.

Yep, others can comment like before, this is different than the "Check Out My Truck" section where no comments are allowed.

It may come down to we need sub forums, we shall see how it goes.

I am taking off tomorrow on my vacation (delayed this week) so when I get back next week I will check in to see how that section is going.

going back to the build section seems like it might be getting to the point of needing the subsections...

I'm starting to agree with you - as long as the members can keep in mind the way we want them titled and to post them in the correct sections.
