this is annoying
vBulletin Message
This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between searches. Please try again in 20 seconds..... cant you change it to like 5 or 10 secs ? |

Yes, it IS annoying. However, it used to be 30 seconds...which was downright painful.
My vote is for 5 seconds.

I do that too...I'm not complaining though (cheapo didn't contribute thank you for the info chick)

Scott had it set that way when he was debugging the forum after upgrading us to the newest VB software.
I can see if it can be lowered since the server seems to be running very well now.

It was actually at 3 seconds for a little while there wasn't it? I was in heaven. I have a bad habit of managing to double click the "new posts" button which throws me off completely and I also sit there refreshing the page to see how long I have left.

And that other feature we had where it shows similar posts at the bottom of each thread, that may be tuned back on later as well. It is server intensive, and we are trying out different things here to see how the speed is. I bet the forum is working a lot better for you though than it was a few weeks back.
