i want to bob my bed but i have ?'s

i want to bob my bed but i need to know a few things first.

1. does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about it? ie: difficulties you ran into while doing it, ways to keep it as simple as possible, ect..

2. also what kind of welder would i need? i have a lincoln innersheild welder. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...9 0401+503465 this is a link that will show you the exact welder. will this work for welding sheet metal?

any other info and tips woul be greatly appreciated.

sorry. i first posted in the 84-85 truck n runner section, but i realized there was a fab section. can you delete posts?

That welder should be fine on sheetmetal.

Practice on some scrap to get the settings correct before you weld on the truck. You will have to turn the welder down with the flux core.

Take if slow, the tack method works pretty well (tack one spot and move several inches away and make another tack until the entire cut is welded).
