Aesome looking FB dude, I'm gonna do kind of the the same thing to mine but it'll sure be lighter than what you have, I hope. that thing prbably weighs close to a ton from the looks of it. Nice placement of the tie down strap also, that was a nifty idea and never would have thught of it myself for sure. WELL DONE dude and hope I get out that way some time or another.

So I got a similar project I'm looking into. I operate a welding service business in LA and I want to build out a flatbed for my 1990 single cab pick up. Planing to have 800lb plus on the day to day. what I'm looking to find out is whats the best approach for the suspension. Thinking about installing new rear gas shocks and then some air bags to adjust the ride. any one here got and advice on what to do before the flatbed build-out?
Thanks will post pick when i get started

Blue,
I run Timbren bump stops on the rear of my 2wd, and regularly haul scrap/trash weighing anywhere from 300 to 1200 lbs. daily. They don't interfere with ride on the few occasions I'm running empty. Just my opinion, might be worth looking into for you though.
