Time for the chop... a-la- 4hummer

Ok Guys, I am tired of breaking glass. 2 times now. That rear quarter panel glass has GOT TO GO! (Breadbasket in Upper Helderado is just asking to break it a 3rd time)

So who's gonna help me do this? 4Hummer who started this isn't in c-rado and I need some 4runner guys to pitch in on the grinding and canvasing....

I assume I can cut right behind the rear 2nd door support frame but beyond the rear interior light wiring is there anything else I should expect to cut through?

Aside from my left thumb which I already did today!

Yes I have a garage (albeigt tight) to store her in till I get her covered).

I'd like to get her done in honer of a final Carnage run...

Project "Cut the Tippy Bitch" is now underway...

Get to it.

I would love to help when I move up there later this month but I might be too late.

Subscribing.

Nope, that is it. You will cut your thumb .

I am not sure about the 2nd gens, but is the wiring for the windshield wipers still in the same location as the 1st's?

things to consider before chopping it up:

#1 plexiglass. make a template out of poster board, cut it out of plexi, use a heat gun to bend it to match. i did this for my rear quarter glass and it works great, it just flexes when it whacks a tree.

#2 exo cage. protects your head, protects the glass

#3 lower the truck

Well I am hoping the chop negates the plexiglass. The exo is still in the works. Should have the full exo beofre October Moab. If ya saw my rear roof you'd chop it too....

And lower the truck? How? I have no Body lift... Panhard bar is in the Best spot it can be... (Honestly I need limmiting straps now to keep tippy to a minimum - the swaybar already does all it can)...

Though based on this pic the panhard bar *looks* like it is even with the axle... (it's not)

Any Wed or Thurs afternoon/evening works for me.
It's "easy". Pull the interior panels, windows, and roof liner. Measure twice and cut once. I'm even considering doing this to my wrecked 4runner just for the hell of it.
