hey ranski, when you rattle canned your runner did you wet sand or polish it at all. i just finished rattle canning my runner grey, but it dosent have a smooth shine or finish to it.

What I did notice is that the areas where I had it down to bare metal and actually primed it then painted it - it actually came out with a rough texture. The areas where I just ran a scotchbrite pad over the old paint it actually gave me a more smooth finish. I sure you have already found them, but there are several threads on rattle can jobs and many have actually taken the time to wet sand to get a better finish. For me is just wasn't worth the effort.

i dont really want to deal wet sanding or polishing, so ill probly leave it the way it is. it looks better in the sunlight though.
