in theory it sounds like it will work??
but idk if the pin you describe (the removable one from ACE) will interfere with the door shutting or not??? I'll try it tomorrow..i got a bunch of those for our brush-hogs and tillers and such

5/16 is spot on just make sure when you cut the stock pins to retain the copper spacer and it'll be perfect. the round ones are the way to go btw. its a good hour project
i wanna make some tube doors with bolt on stock skins but i need a new cut off wheel. oh and a garage. and a day off lol.

i built half doors, but you need a drivers mirror and rearview mirror to be legal in az, im sure you could bend a piece of flat stock to hold the stock mirror onto the hinge when you go doorless. im in glendale now by the cardinal stadium but lived in wittmann/surprise and still frequent there haha

O kewl i would like some half or tube doors but for now this is fine. I actually use mirrors off of my old dirt bike bolted to the hinge it works prrty good. One more question when u take the pin out does the copper ring come out easily or does it have some friction on it. I just dont wana loose it when i take the doors off each time

they actually stay in the hinge you just dont want to mangle them when you cut an pull/wiggle/hammer/ or whatever the old pins out. w/o the copper rings the pins are a complete different size or you have a lot of play issues

Hurray I finally found the time. I got my new door hinges put together. They work great. now i just need to find a way to install a mirror, since my old mounting spot now gets disconnected. Hmmmmm any ideas (without drilling into body panels)

![]() Not really much to it, open door, get a 5" angle grinder, cut the middle of the pin. Put a flat head screw driver it in, twist the screw driver to separate the pin, get a centre punch and knock out one side, then do the other pin. Save the bushings, then slide in the quick release hinges.

to add one, your going to want to grind down some of the bolt where the botton part of the quick release hooks. Look at hte right bolt on the pic above.

Thats the same thing i did except i order for my to slide the quick pins in i Had to grind side of the top part int the pin so it would fit past the bolt that holds the doors half of the hinge on, without grinding the bolt. i just need to mount a mirror and im legal. I will post pictures tomarrow
