I know this is an old post but information dosen't get old...

We have a TD Cut 50 and 52 & a Hypertherm 1500? (Maybe 1200), All work great in the shop. I have used a Demo Miller 375 that we took to KOH last year and with minimal power it did a fantastic job cutting .25 plate. I love everything ESAB makes and you can get their smaller machines (550 & 650) on Ebay for under $850...BTW, My info says ESAB invented the plasma cutter.

Hypertherm doesn't make a 1500. You probably have a PowerMax 1200.

I fix welders and plasma cutters for a living. In my opinion, Hypertherm makes the best plasma cutter hands down!! The reliability and quality is just there. Miller makes a decent machine but they don't compare to the Hypertherms.

Just my .02
