Paint

Well after deciding to keep my truck till im out of high school. (im a jr one more year to go) Im starting the painting process... again.. lol
Im thinking of doing a green with black stripe. The green is supposed to be john deere but its way darker. (i could never do john deere due to the fact a life enemy has painted all his yota's that color! grrr)
Too day i got all the holes in the bed rail's welded closed and grinded down. And most of the drivers side saned down to the org. color.
Tomorrow, i hope on sanding the rest of the bed down from 60 grit to 150 than 320.
Sat i hope to get the bondo out fill all the low spots in the rails and few small dents, and primered and put in the shop out back to sit till the cab is done. I was also thinking of filling in the acsent line? does any one have pics of this done?
My goal is to have her painted bye the end of april lol

Use a hammer and dolly along the upper rail as much as you can. Dont just fill it in with Bondo. If you do, it will just chip out and make your paint job look terrible.

Be original man. I looked to ICORR professional race trucks for inspiration when I painted my truck. Check out their designs and integrate them onto your truck...just use your unique colors.

Can I ask why you are only keeping your truck for a year? It is not worth painting it if you are going to sell it, especially if it does not look professional...

It will look profesional when its done. My bosses dad paints custom show cars for a living so it will look good. And its getting paint because i will not get much for it when its all horribly rattle canned. And as far as the paint chiping on the bed rail im going to have it line-x'ed soon after paint.
