new paint job

ok im in the prosses of preping my truck for paint and its almost there. i havent used my spray gun before and i bet theres some good tips on using it like whats the ratio of paint thiner to paint and other stuff (psi??) but i know all of the basics like do nice even long strokes and stuff from spray bombing and that more thinner coats is better than less thick coats.

also what do u guys think would be a cool paint job i was thinking not to flashy but cool maby some basic 06 taco red not marron with some nice trd stickers or going as radical as genral lee what do u guys think. its a 86 pickup reg cab and i will be wheeling it allot but i want a nice paint job so the cops wont hate it as much because she will already be over the legal limit with 31s and who knows with the 37s.

I'm thinking of doing something like this, with white and one of the following: blue, yellow, orange, or green.

Did you shoot that right there in the shop with the other cars in there? No booth? I noticed the red paint all over the floor and the van up on the lift.

Is that toyota radiant red? And did you shoot it yourself? Looks like it might be a bit thick, but excelent job, VERY shiny, are you really going to take it in the woods now? and I have to agree with frodin, did you shoot it right there, no booth? Or at least a makeshift booth of drop cloths hung from the ceiling around the truck?

To be honest, the red paint looks like leftovers from being wet-sanded after the paint job. Other than that, I love that color.

yea its radient red and i sprayed it in the shop but i had all of the exaust hoses going and the fan so none of the paint went more than 6-7ft from the truck before it got sucked up and i checked the shop and theres only pant on the floor. and i deff checked before i painted because there would be allot of unhappy mechanics at work.
