Arent you not supposed to have a roll cage on a DD unless your wearing a helmet all the time? They do tests and stuff and figure out where the pillar is safe to be. Then you put that in and there's a metal bar a few inches closer to your head when you crash than was designed to be safe

If you're that worried about it, buy some padding to go around the tubing. Sissy.

i mean it would suck to hit your head on it. but if you're wearing a seat belt it couldnt be much worse than a piece of plastic over a stock metal pillar. plus i'm sure it is still alot safer than a stock tin can toyota cab.

Hey 94sasyota, was the installation pretty strait forward? Does it come with instructions? Did you have to notch and or cut the tubes at all? Did you tack weld everything inside the cab and finished it off outside? I just placed an order for one at $295.

yea not bad it took me about 7 hours to get it all tacked up. yes you have to cut and trim some of the tubeing. No instructions came with it but they have a picture of it on there web site. i moved two of the gussets from the drivers side and passagers side to the center bar thats the only thing i changed.
