Home made co2 tank holder, bracket ,carrier thing..

I bought a 15lb co2 tank and a fixed 100psi regulator off ebay , I decided to go ahead a build a mount to mount it to the roll bar . Heres what I did today... I also put a little primer on the tire carrier I am buliding ...

Does anybody know off hand the size of the bolts that go on the roll bar for the first gens ..

The backing part is 1/4 "
the Bottom is 3/16 "
the little braces are 1/8 "

The pic shows the tank I have now , its a 20lb tank .. When I went to fill the 15lber the welding shop did not have co2 to fill my tank so the guy just gave me this one that was filled already and just paid the fill up $24.50.
I want mine back though this one is to big and bulky..

Bolts that hold the roll bar on as in mounted? M10x1.25

Or the bolts that go in the threaded holes in the roll bar? 7/16-20 as they are seat belt bolts

Looks good.

Might want to get some rubber/felt to keep that tank from rattling.

I was thinking of spraying it with the plastic dip stuff from home depot just to see how that works ..BUt your right I may need something more heavy duty like rubber or something..

I also need to find some kind of strap to hold the tank to the bracket.. I havnet figured that part out yet

So I thought it would be a good idea to post a pic of the finished product.

I also went ahead and glued some strips of rubber like stormin suggested.
used 1/4-20 stainless bolts for the metal straps.
I could not find the 7/16-20 flat head bolts in singles anywhere so I just cut a 1" hole and welded some plate to the back of the bracket so the bolts wouldnt get in the way of the tank.
