Check out this rear bumper design
After almost losing my stock rear bumper for the third time this weekend i have decided to design a new one. the bumper is designed to have a reciever hitch, recovery points for shackles, side protection and most importantly be tucked really high.
all of the rectangle tube is 2x4 and the round side hoops are 1.5 or 1.75 round tube.
I am also gonna cut my roll pan and bed like norcal has done in these pics. I will never drag my bumper off again is the hope.
Tell me what ya'll think. and feel free to steal the design cause i wont be able to build one for a while. Just make sure you have a very pic heavy post to go with it.

Looks pretty good. NOTE: you will still drag the bumper, it will just be able to handle it better!
Buy the steel and bring it over and I'll help you weld it up!

Thanks tc I may have to do that. just gotta get the money for the Metal. I looked at armorology's and that was one of my main inspirations. I am sure this way is a whole lot cheaper. As far as the amount that norcal's truck is trimmed, The body lift does make it look a lot higher. i had a friend do the same without a body lift and it looks real good. I just didnt have a pic of it. Cutting it there without the body lift would make the bumper about even with the frame. Which i would think would be the best for both rear end collision protection and towing/recovery.

tc, I just got to looking at your truck and your front bumper is the exact design of what I want on my truck. I think it go perfectly with the rear i designed. The only difference is i want to put the reciever hitch in the main tube of the bumper. Now i am getting ahead of myself. one thing at a time.
Also i like the fact that you run it without a lift. My dad always said it isn't how tall your truck is it is how well you know how to drive it.
