ARB bumper hawse fairlead mod

So, ARB's winch bumpers for the older trucks come setup for a roller fairlead.

Roller fairleads are bad for the new winch ropes, so we'll just cut off that silly little bracket like so...

...and clean it up a bit.
http://4-low.com/tech/arb_hawse/IMG_1730.jpg

Add a new cross brace and make a little extension for the hawse fairlead to sit on...

Weld 'er up

And add a little paint

Fog lights? Thinking about it...

Nice job Shane! Looks real good. Are you using a UHMW Hawse?

Hey Shane,

I really like the light mod. Someone at 4x4wire modded his 1999+ 4Runner turn signals where his signals on his ARB bumper were. It looked very cool.
Your light mod makes your bumper look like the ARB Sahara bumper. Very sweet.
Hey ya wanna do mine when your done with yours. Please..please. he he.

I've been thinking some extra light up there would be good in general and was pretty much settled on adding some surface mount flood lights. Then I remembered about the optional lights that the Sahara and Prado bumpers have, if they'll fit it should work pretty well. I still have to call ARB and see if I can even get the parts first. Hopefully they will be willing to give me the dimensions as well otherwise I'll have to find someone local who has them to take a closer look.

Ok, we'll start with the SAS first. Sound good?
