trust me, longs are on the list. it's mainly the locker that kills stockers... i didn't think 33s would be a problem, but apparently they were. i was pretty bound up both times too... i pulled out 3 CVs, but never actually broke one. front shackles are 6" eye-to-eye. rear bumper was built by my roommate and myself.

Looks f***ing killer!!! How does your 3.slow and 4.10 gears feel about them? One of these days I will ditch the pizza cutters.

i'll be back in SLO mid Sept. we'll have to do some wheeling.

Marc, the 3.0L and 4.10s definitely don't like the 35s... 5.29s are coming soon though. what tires are you going with eventually?

I really dont think I will go over 33x12.5's, but who knows. All I know is the bigger I go...the slower I go. And as you guys know the 3.slow with auto is a gutless wonder...even with 4.88's

Robinhood-dont laugh...I am sagging a bit too

yeah, 3.0L and auto is bad combo for anything bigger than stock... i'm hoping 5.29s will wake it up enough. i don't think i'll ever go bigger than this, but who knows. Marc, i think you could do 35s no problem on yours. the rear should be coming up, and rear axle going back, a couple inches soon. i'll post pics of that once i get it going...

Whtas the BS on those rims?? Do you rub any?

Trying to decide what TG springs to go with, i already have the 35's.... Thinking of the 4"ers, want to stay as low as posisble.

3.75" backspaced 15x10s... they rub quite a bit, but the sawzall will fix that. i would go TG 3s or 4s. the 5s just don't hold their height...

I am thinking 4's, Front and Rear...

I have 15x8's on 3.75 so that should help the rubbing... I have already trimmed the front to get them to fit with my 4" IFS.. and if the axle goes foreword 1.5" I should be good.

I would like to go with the 3" springs, but wow that seems LOW for 35's, and I have a heavy bumper and winch.......

Your moonrocks pics in this thread aren't working for me right now.

Did you use a torch or hole saw for the shackle tubes? Did you move your steering box? Got any pics of the D-shaft? What joints did you use (modified from the IFS shaft?) Wish you'd done anything differently?

no idea why the pics aren't working...

anyways, i used a holesaw for the shackle tubes, didn't need to move my steering box, and as for the d-shaft... i'll try and get pics for you ASAP clint. i just ended up using standard toyota u-joints (one off the IFS shaft i think and the other off another d-shaft we had lying around) with a High Angle V6 flange at the t-case end.

only thing i would have done differently would have to be the springs. i just wish they had a higher spring rate... oh, and maybe mounted the front hanger a little farther forward.

I mounted my hanger about 1.75" forward, but x2 on the higher spring rate....the 5" TG springs are way too soft (and now starting to get saggy).

Thanks Mike. I have thought about moving the hanger forward some also, but I'm not sure how much further to go. I am thinking maybe just 1/2" forward for a total 2" forward of stock loction. I'm not sure how this will affect the shackle angle and whether or not I'll need to move the box. What do you think? Should I go for more?

TG is making those HD 5" springs now for V6 folks. Maybe if you called and complained enough about your current springs they would swap you. I'm sure someone from TG will be at the Jamboree this year. We could swap the leafs on the lakebed haha. I've got OBA - we can just hook up the impact and go at it.

Hope your Christmas went well. Look forward to seeing your driveshaft LOL.

Not that it makes a bit of difference, but mine is 1.25" forward. I welded up an FRORF frame brace to the truck first, then welded my FRORF hanger in the 1" forward position. Steering in the stock position barely clears...

I wouldn't mount the Marlin SAS hanger any farther forward, to be honest. If you want the option of moving the spring mounts forward, I'd make your own similar to BoogerWelds on PBB... One of the best I've seen for flexible mounting position and frame strengthening at the steering box.
