88 body swap to 85 frame ????

hey guy's i've got a 85 pickup 4x4 solid axle and an 88 (85-88 body style and newer interior)2wd pickup with a good cab. i wanted to swap the cab off the 88 and slap it on the 85 how hard would this rpocess be or is it doable? jsut curious if anybody has done this before or has info on doing it? thanx

It is doable and it has been done before, a quick search yeilded this thread:

things to think about: all the wiring, disconnecting the brake MC, you are gonna need to cut a hole in the tunnel to allow your TC lever to come through, that is just off the top of my head... If you have a chain hoist or something like that it would make life easier...start soaking bolts with some rust penetrator now...
