Talk to adrian and scott about spring rates. I know polyperformance will let you send springs back so you can try them out and find what's best.

x2 on Pig at Poly.
It would probably be helpful if you can find somewhere to weight your rig at all 4 corners. It will help Poly help you with the spring selection.

I'd go either single or dual. Depending on the trails you run, the math with a triple rate can be a bit tricky.

Ya, he used 10'' sway aways he found in a junk yard. The lengths and spring rates would be different. I think adrians new setup is using 14" sway aways so the rates would be more of what he's looking for.

i would go with dual rates... as for the spring rates, you'll need something a little on the dtiff side since 4Runners are so heavy in the rear. maybe a 450 over a 650... or even a 550 over a 650... i'll def ask the guys at poly performance next time i'm there.

Spring rate depends on coilover angle.
You are going to need to spring the hell out of it if they are angled like Scott's. He is in the sixes while my verticle ones are in the 2's and 3's. Dual rate, you have to on something that tall. No reason for triple, do some more investigating. Other things of note: 1. Do you know how long a 14" travel coilover is? That is one long SOB. With 12's at verticle, I am still mostly droop. 2. What axle width? I am just shy of 67" WMS to WMS and with coilovers outside of the frame things are tight in those wheel wells. Without cutting frame or getting a wide axle, you are head for disaster.

dual rate
Here is a diagram of how a dual rate coilover works. Notice that the first or primary spring rate is a combination of the two springs working together. The second or secondary spring rate kicks in when the floater engages the lock ring. This eliminates any movement on the part of the top spring and in effect uses only the lower spring. What that means is that your secondary spring rate is your bottom spring. quote from http://www.offroad-engineering.com/howduracoovw.html The King PreRunner 2.0 14" Coilovers are 21.6 compressed to 35.6 extended the Bilstein 5150's are 17.8 compressed to 29.7 extended i am not planning on full widths yet..... i will be running the shocks angled on the inside of the frame, although i dont mind having to cut the floor or even tub the rear frame

1.75" .120 wall DOM is really great material for sliders and cages.
By upper 3-link, I am assuming you mean wishbone. Start with 1/4 wall or sleeve what you have. That is not enough upper beef in a wishbone.

the upper will not hit any rocks.... atleast i hope. i think 1/8" is plenty thick
finished links and crossmember for lower links need to mount lowers to axle build bridge for axle 3-link mount and mount the 3-link to frame shocks pics soon

the upper might not hit rocks but it will have to deal with all the sideload of keeping the axle centered
