What made you decide to go through all that work, yet keep the IFS? I think if I were going to go through all of the custom work to get it to mesh, I would have thrown in a SAS to boot.

I think it would have been even cooler had you been able to keep the body of the 3rd gen, fab up a removable top and cover the 2nd doors over with metal and make it a 2 door.
Obviously woulda been alot more work though.. Yours is awesome, but yea why didnt you go SAS?

Ummmmm......what would be the point of the frame swap if he did the SAS?
Might as well just SAS an 86 with a 3.4 swap. Last edited by deathrunner; 11-16-2006 at 07:20 AM. |

You are missing the point on this completely.
That is a cool FAST truck with the light weight and big engine with SC. It hauls. Swapping a 3rd Gen truck is not something to scoff at, it doesn't just happen. This is a cool truck with impressive body work/modifications. Oleg and Yuri can do fab work, but that was not the point of this project. Glad you guys solved the computer BS, that is a fun truck.

Very impressive work and a great idea. Awesome execution!
I like it very much and I also like that you kept the IFS. SAS has been done. This was unique!

That is the first gen I would love mine to be. Kind of like a Pro Touring car for off roading, classic style with modern performance.
What kind of cost would I be looking at if I provide the first gen? Robb
