Northern New Mexico, Southern Colorado wheeling?

Got a family get together in Carson, NM (that would be about 30 miles west of Taos...); just wondering if there's any wheel'n spots within a reasonable distance. If you know of any spots please post up.

What is more terrifying? Slow methodical enslavement and oppression, or a drastic change to freedom and self sufficiency.

i've been kicking it in santa fe all summer, and just got back from taos a couple hours ago actually. What i've noticed is that there is so much open land out here i pretty much get on google earth to find some non-private roads and then i just go hit the trails. i'll ask around and try to give some more insight though.
