Need a Knuckle(sandwich)

So I thought I had a bad stud in my knuckle when assembling my SA. Got some new parts and back out to the garage. Upon further review, it is the knuckle itself that is jacked. Therefore, I'm looking for a replacement driver side steering knuckle. If anyone has one they would like to get rid of let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably just get one here:
http://frontrangeoffroadfab.com/nfos...aa5bb00ee75250 within the next couple of days. I'll also listen to any other ideas.

Can you put a Heli-Coil in the stripped out hole? That would probably fix it.

First I thought no, I've never done one. Then I thought, what the hell, I've nothing to lose. Then I noodled around on the net and it appears a kit runs $48-52. Seems kinda high to me but I suppose if I had f'd an expensive cyl head or engine block I'd be singing a different tune. So I think I'm back to buying from FROR.

I would take them off your hands for spares but don't need them. So if you know of someone that needs them, let them have 'em. Otherwise, sure I'll take 'em. Let me know.

Isn't there some upgraded stud they do over on Pirate? An American thread or something?

Maybe there is enough metal that you could just tap for that upgrade.

I may not know what I am talking about as usual.

I didn't find anything, but I didn't really try very hard either.

Yeah, the upgraded stud is a D44 stud. 9/16", they are much stronger than the Toy studs.

Worthy upgrade and one I would do if I was building up my axle, or go the 5th stud route - both cheap insurance over the standard Toyota studs.

The FROR Knuckles are DA BOMB!!!! Well worth the money as I tweaked my OE Knuckles within 4 weeks of my SAS...

And get those spare free bifs till you have the money for longs, (Which are killer to BTW)

Yes... that's the mod I was thinking of.

Nice. Had all fall/winter to work on the axle and now you wait until it's 113 outside. Hardcore baby.

Not yet. Just going to use the stock junk to get rolling, then upgrade later as needed ala TallBrian. That is part of why I'm thinking trail spare=good idea.

Molly, do they have something I'm not seeing? What I linked appears to be used, standard, OE knuckles, and that is all I see there.

Fall and winter is for hiking and wheeling. Might as well do scut work in the summer.

Let me know if you want to come get the birfields + inners. Spares is a must if you are running stock birfields with a front locker. If no front locker, you shouldnt have a problem.
