Mini-Sunflower Update

Headed out and ran Sunflower this past Thursday. It's in worse shape than I remember, but overall not too bad. Lot's of water, deep pools and you drive up the flowing creek at more than a few places. Took a couple pics.

Just where the trail starts after the narrow bridge (first creek crossing):

I always feel there are two "hard" sections. The first where a tree used to cause problems is deeper now, bigger boulders before the entry. No pics of that section.

The second longer section. Looking back down:

And looking up at the final obstacle in the creek:

The rest of the trail was similar as we are all used to with the exception being the final rocks just before the lunch spot. Those are a bit bigger and more awkward as well.

Random pic I just like for some reason:

The mine itself:

Anyway... I know most of us have done this trail countless times before, but it's really cool now with the water flowing. Check it out when you have some time, or perhaps we can do a night run out there... but I think that might be a bit long for mid-week. I think it would be good to run the creek to the lunch spot, then turn around and head back out the same way. Depends when everyone can start, and has to get up the next day.
