More of Mike's SAC......

This is all the parts that were NOT cut off when the truck arrived in Tempe. This is just the inner frame stuff, not the outer.

This is how much the drive shaft pulled out with the 5" TG rear leafs. This is with the springs quite flat. They still have a good 10" of droop. Holly new drive shaft Batman!

After years of Mike running with SA trucks and Rock Buggies, this tank is spent.

Front Passenger side cleaned up.

Front Passenger side cleaned up.

Front Suspension Cleaned Up.

Team Arizona High Speed Straight Axle Setup. The irony is that he will be able to go AT LEAST 3X faster on high speed desert than with the stock IFS. This leaf suspension has 4" of pure up travel landing on that super soft bump stop. The old IFS has 4" of TOTAL travel, both down and up.

Team Arizona High Speed Straight Axle. Yes it can still go slow too.

WINCH ALERT !!!

Sam's Club in Chandler on 54th street has 12 or so 10,000 pound winches on closeout for $229.00

Charlie & Steve gave me the FYI, they picked up a few themselves. They have a buddy that used one of these on a tow truck.

They said time is of the essence of you want one. Even comes with the steel line and a snatch block.

You know, Team New Mexico would have produced 5-6 of these trucks in a couple days.

They would have all been stolen from AZ

I don't think anytime soon. He is knee deep in a home remodel and working on buying a cabin.

I can't work on it until the fall, fitting this truck in with all the 3rd Gen work is proving to be difficult and Feb-May should be even busier.

Yay! Finally time for some new truck porn. Picked it up last night and got an alignment today. for Big O down the street. Steering wheel lines right up,tracks well, returns to center...

Of course, no porn would be complete without a double entendre to start things off, so here goes.
"Dang, that's a big one."

Just barely fits

A couple shots of how the rear got set up

And a couple refreshers for the front.

I still have quite a bit of vibration, especially on deceleration, but I have to attribute that to the drive shaft for now. Unfortunately, I return to the confines of work for the next 4 days, so any further work will have to wait. Next up, d shafts and rear diff regear.

Too close to call. I can still adjust the door opener to get the door to completely clear the door frame and get another inch, maybe 2. That might do it. We'll see. In the meantime I'll hope for a bit more settling.

The truck is really tall. I think it will settle quite a bit after you start flexing that beast.

Looking good Mike. Time to get it dirty now! When is the shake down run?

Edit - my ebrake runs over the top of the springs like that as well. Its obviously better if it doesnt but its been fine, but now that I say this I know I am guaranteeing that I will have an issue in the future! I am always real careful with the old 4runner/mini truck ebrakes though. They have never held that great to begin with, be careful regardless.

Yes it touches but they all do. I'll think about solutions but it's a low priority for now.

I hope so. I'd really like this thing to fit in the garage without a fuss.

Still have d shafts to send out and a regear on the rear diff. Hopefully not much longer.
