I'm in Chandler!
I head up to Flag regularly during the winter for snowboarding too. I'll probably start buying a seaon pass once they get all the snowmaking equipment set up. For those who care: Current Story: FOREST SERVICE AND SNOWBOWL PREVAIL AT SUPREME COURT Flagstaff, AZ – June 8, 2009 The Arizona Snowbowl is pleased that the United States Supreme Court has decided not to review the en banc decision of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in favor of the United States Forest Service and Snowbowl. The Arizona Snowbowl would like to thank all those who made this result possible and would like to thank our staff and customers for their patience during the court proceedings. Snowbowl will work with the Forest Service to implement the upgrade plan which will enhance the skiing experience for the guests. The Snowbowl plans to work with the Forest Service to develop a schedule to implement the entire project, which will occur over the next several years. Do to the scope of the project, the snowmaking system will not be operational for the 2009-2010 season. If anyone ever wants to meet up for some wheelin, let me know - I don't get out anywhere near as much as I want to.

I don't usually drive it up that way unless I'm going camping or off roading. I have a Solara as my daily driver/snowboarding shuttle. It kinda sucks in the snow being FWD but I'm from Detroit and I have a lot of snow driving experience. I'm should to be getting a new Venza soon - V6, AWD, 4 door - plently of room for board gear and friends.
We should head up there for some boarding this winter - Would be nice to have some company for the long ride.

All are EFI so nothing too noticeable. Now my R6 thats another story! If you guys are ever intrested in a weekend of snowboardign and snow wheeling just let me know. Nothing better than wheeling in the snow, you have get all the fun like getting stuck in mud but you dont get dirty; in fact the trucks get cleaner.

My dad goes to Tuba City alot to do construction for you guys.
Alot different roads up there so sometimes he has to ask for directions and everyone screws with him. Sucks to be white i guess :/ I'd be all up for snowboarding with you guys. I usually take the yota just cause it's 4wd and my dad's paranoid bout the black ice on snowbowl road. Do you guys own your own boards or just rent them? I bought one, its a lot easier when you can use the same board all the time. You get to learn how to ride "that" board and your riding is more consistent.

I have been snowboarding for around 15 years. I have 3 boards that I use regularly - depending on the conditions and what kind of riding I want to do.

Checking in from the AZ West Coast. Good ole' Hardyville. (Bullhead City)
As far as boarding goes, both my wife and I ride, but haven't been out in three seasons now. I'd really like to change that this winter...

i am here representing the rim lake area. anyone up in my neck of the woods stop and say hi down at canyon creek fish hatchery. my house is the first one and most likely you will see my white 80 sitting out front.
i am all about the snowboarding when the snow is on the ground. for those of you who have not taken the time to go to sunrise, GO longer drive for some but WAY WAY better terrain than snowbowl, and a lot less people. but i do show love to snowbowl on jan 12 for my free b-day pass. see ya, Harley

Sweet yeah I've been wanting to visit sunrise, but if i drove that far I'd want to stay somewhere, coming down the 17 at night is bad enough after a long day of boarding.
I'll follow your group idea haha: Arizona Snowboarding Group |

is anyone doing any wheeling this weekend?
I was thinking about maybe playing around at Butcher Jones or Sycamore but I'm down for just about anything - Maybe Friday or Sunday.

Flagstaff here! We should have a run in Sedona sometime, go run the Broken Arrow trail and represent Toyota to all of the pink tour jeeps...
Snowbowl is a little gem in my backyard, even better during the middle of the week when it's mainly a local crowd.

I was out at Butcher Jones on Saturday. There was hardly anyone out there. One of the guys with us blew an inner CV boot so we just chilled at the 1st cove. We were there from around noon till almost 6. I'll definately start posting here everytime we head out to where ever we go.

I'd love to do a Sedona run! I go up there all the time to hike and bike, but I've never really wheel'd up there. I've been wanting to do Broken Arrow for a while now.
