Well after selling these cams for over a year I am happy to see the results people are seeing with these cams, i brought this up with my Geoff at Colt Cams (my cam grinder) and we worked out a deal to start up a group buy that will allow for a better price then before because of the fact he will be able to work on more then just 1 at a time as doing 1 at a time requires more time to set the machine up for these cams then to reset the machine for the next engine set he is doing. This in turn raises his prices.
So with this I am happy to start my first group buy of these 3vz-e cams.

Anyway onto the cams:
Stage 1 3vz-e cams are designed to make everyone happy; you, the smog police, your engine, and your wallet!
The power output on one dyno chart compared to other stock engines, I did not have the chance to do a before and after on my test truck as the HG went (wow surprise!), showed an improvement of 14-18whp/tq gain average over the other dyno charts i have seen people post. The engine still needs to be shimmed properly as well so i am not even seeing the complete lift or duration as the other people have felt so that number is going to go up! This power output makes most people happy

With a similar emission system here in Vancouver, BC as in Cali (minus the visual mod test you guys have to deal with) the sniffer recorded 50-75% LESS emissions on a test done 2 years ago the SAME day. This will surly make the smog police happy!

I noticed that the engine physically ran cooler and smoother then it ever did without the cams (minus the little lumpy idle tho

) This cooler running engine will help reduce the HUGE HG problem we see on the stock engines as the HG tends to blow around the #6 cyl. Passing on the highway is A LOT nicer now! I love the fact i can punch it and the truck actually moves...unlike before where you just hear the engine noise increase but not your speedo

With these cams i have noticed a increase in fuel economy as well, I have seen an average of about 5-8% in the city and about 8-10% on the highway. This will help you save some cash in the long run

Now onto the details:

I can only offer this price with at least 3-4 people in...even better price if we can get 6+

I have 4 cores here which gives us some options which are as follows:

1) Send me your cores which i will stock up until i reach the quota set by the Geoff

2) Pay a refundable core charge of 200usd and I will use one of the 4 cores that i have here in place of yours, this way you can continue to drive your truck while the cams are being ground. Then once the cams arrive you can swap them with the stock ones in your truck and send yours back to me and I will refund the 200usd.

3) Same as option 2 but you keep your stock cams which means you don't get the 200usd refunded.

Remember i only have 4 cores right now so only 4 can use option 2-3,I will try to get some more in as well to stock.

Turnaround time is about 2-3days from when i get all the cams (except the people who choose option 2/3)

PRICE: Normally i charge 450usd SHIPPED for the cam sets but if i can get between 4-5 the price drops to 380usd Shipped if it grows to 6-7 the price will be 350usd Shipped

ALL CAMS COME WITH 12 SPACERS WHICH GO UNDER THE STOCK SHIM TO GIVE IT A BOOST. ($15 value)

I got the motor from the Runner I just bought at the shop now. I already took the timing belt and fan stuff off so I can put the fan on my truck. I will see about getting the cams out and try to send them to you soon. I will probably send you the ones I am running now as soon as I get the new ones in. I got two beasts to feed now.

Weasy2k- do you have other performance mods done to your vehicle to effectively bring the cam's performance up? Just curious as mods obviously go hand in hand. I'll have to get back to you in about a week, but if I'm in I'll be sending in cores 1st since I'm due for a timing belt.

Have you talked to any vendors to see if they may be interested in getting a stock of these. There's so many people looking to get more power out of their 3.0 I would think there'd be more interest to both individuals and Toy specific companies.

A 3.0 with all available performance mods could easily surpass the stock engine power of a 3.4 IMO. After all we're only talking about 30hp difference.
Then again maybe I'm just rambling.

My truck has no more performance mods besides the cam and a modded intake (more noise same power

)

However if you do things like a valve job or anything else to the head/intake manifold, you will notice a even more profound change as it all works together to get more air into that combustion chamber which = power.

Of course if there is more then 10 then yea the price will change, but most people wont want to wait month after month till we can find that number and the vendors i have talked to order by demand basis as the price is pretty damn good and my turn around is fast enough that by time they prep the heads for the customer I have the cams to them already.

These are still new so not many people want them yet...

I gotta say that for me and my dad in his truck that this little mod made the truck a lot more drivable then before....i couldn't stand it before as i personally have a Tacoma and its a night and day difference between the 2. At least now the truck can move itself.
