Can anyone here get good deals on tires or know of someone selling some 305's (M/T's preferably). Ive got to get new wheels and would like to have some new tires before uwharrie seeing as how mine have less than 1/8 inch left. I doubt ill even run the trails if its been raining.

I would say check Pirate 4x4 but most of those tires are not for 16" wheels. I jsut scored a kick ass deal on 35" MT/Rs for $400, 95% tread left, only on for a month. I would try Tire Rack and look for Dunlop Mud Rovers, Jermey runs them and loves them, I was going to get myself a set but this deal came along. 35" Dunlops were only $111 a tire.

I think I remember TDiddy saying that the wheeler black wheels won't fit 3rd gen 4Runners, they only fit the Tacos. Try the Tech1s from 4wheelparts, mine are great.

its the 15" for the tacoma designed to fit original factory 16" caliper wheels that won't fit on the 4runner. regular 16" wheeler wheels will fit.

Either way black crawler rims are the way to go, I can't wait to get my 35s mounted back up on those wheels they totally complete the offroad look.

i know you wanna sell me the one off your tire-carrier to use as a spare right? $5 then you only need $395 for the other 4. Did you decide what tires you are gonna get (talking to jason)? If you get the 38.5 TSLs dont expect them to last more than a year on the street. Thats what the guy with the humongous blazer had (36s though i think) and they were BALD as hell.

Well I feel like a dumb a$$ now, I miseed the arrow thing :pat: .
Oh well, these tires are nice, there is about 95% tread, I compared his coin shot to a brand new rear rack MT/R on my friends Rubi. he's not lying there is tons of tread left. I wish I didn't have to deal with shipping but it's okay. My new 3rd cost about $45 to ship. Shipping eats a hole in your wallet no matter what. . Thanks for the offer anyways, maybe Sam would like to run 35s, all it'll take it a little fender trimming . Go for it.

I'm going to probably run 37" A/T's as street tires and 38.5's as trail only tires on beadlocks...

I had some on my old truck, just the regular TSL's, 16 x 38.5, and had them on for a year and i still had half tread left. that was even with some mountain driving! I will agree that half tread aftrer one year is still pretty bad.

Jason, are the 35's for 16's? like maybe 315's? If not then i really cant do. I wonder what 35's on a 3rd gen would do to the driveline?
Any thoughts?

Ship tires via greyhound. Wrap the tires in a clear platic wrap, no box.

You know it would put a bunch of stress on the drivelines but hey it's a Toyota don't worry until you break something. There's a few people running 35s on 3rd gens. here somewhere. Go for it, it would be sweet to stuff some 35s under your rig. with that 2"Bl you might be able to make them fit. Jon runs 305s and he had to do some minor triming before his BL, it would be worth a shot.

I see i'm not the only one needing tires before this trip.
as far as street tires go I guess they are in ok shape but they are too slick for mud and rocks
Hopefully I can score a new set of 33s before the meet.

jon did some major trimmin and he was still rubbin one tire last night on a little local trail

he wants 35's so he might sell his bfg's but they will rub like hell and he has about 6.5"

Hmm maybe 35's on Sam's Runner is not such a good idea. :pat: Well I'm glad to have a 1st gen with a soild axel and no fear of trimming fneders, the only thing I have to lose is some rust spots.

My 285/75/16s rub like a b*tch with little trimming (though I did bang the heck out of that fin part of the body which sticks out like a little knife blade... Jon's rig was rubbing from being too wide though right? He went with the 305s. Mine rubs from height, when its turned ever so slightly and there is the slightest flex it will rub in the front. The rears only rub when its STUFFED.
