These people are morons! Basic understanding of physics will tell you that if you swing too hard and let go of the controller, it could possibly go flying across the room...Funny as hell!

Have you tried playing with a wii before? (god, that sounds really wrong...) It's pretty easy to get a little too excited. People aren't used to that sort of interection with video games, and so accidents happen. Nintendo did screw up by launching the console with very weak straps.

I have played it and I understand that you could accidentaly let go. BUT, I don't like how most people blame Nintendo for not telling them that they could damage something by throwing their remote.

It still cracks me up that these Wii sport games exist. It seems like it would be more fun to just go play the game in real life, rather than sit in front of your TV with the Wii remote.

The only wii game I've played was wii bowling. I must say it was a lot of fun. Of course its not the real thing, but its fun and thats what matters. Anyone can do it, and anyone can do well. I got beat by a 45 year old woman whose never played a video game in her life. Needless to say, it was a little embarrasing, especially when she rubbed it in...

I love all the publicity they're getting. I don't know anyone that has one, but I look forward to trying it out. There are so many pictures of injuries all over the 'net, it's quite comical.

From what I hear they called it the wii because its an easy name to remember, and it's supposed to signify multiplayer. Also the two I's in wii are supposed to signify the controller "nunchuks." another reason floating around is because the original name "revolution" was damn near impossible for anyone in japan to pronounce...

idk how people have problems with the wii.. we have one in the house and people have played hammered, and never have thrown the remote, and nobody uses the strap either. and let me tell you bowling can get pretty aggressive.
