Websites for dummies?

I've seen a bunch of your guys' websites, and they look really awesome. Especially TurboAle's. So how do you guys make such nice sites? I tried making my own before using basic html code, but it didn't go so well. I just want a normal one where I can have picture galleries, stuff about my truck, about me, bla bla bla you get the idea.

Do you guys use programs like front page? Or any other stuff? Or do you write the html yourself?

And if you could direct me to some programs very user friendly I'd appreciate it. Free is also a plus too.

Dreamweaver...

IMO HTML is almost extinct, if you wanna write the code yourself, learn XML,XHTML, and JavaScript

I use FrontPage and to get the look and then I'll go into the code and sort of doctor it up a bit to fine tune. I'm not that great but I remember a little from college when I pittled around with html when the web was first getting big, back in the early to mid 90's. I often wonder how these guys create those amazing sites but then I start trying to learn how and I reallize how little time I have for that stuff these days so I just get frustrated and deal with what I can crank out in a couple minutes. hehe.

Frontpage

Rob,

I vote FrontPage and since you are a student you could buy a discounted copy from a place like Office Depot/Max or find the program on one of those computer lab computers and have at it. FrontPage is easy to do and that is what I use at home. Very simple and will do all that you want it to do and more!

hmmmm. I would recommend NOT using frontpage but it can be used to learn a bit. Dreamweaver is a much better tool without the baggage.
