Ultimate Rock crawler 3rd gen

Caught this fine specimen rolling down US290 outside of Houston.
Props to my better half for getting the high-speed shots while I was trying to stare and drive at the same time.
Appears to be 24's on the tow rig and 22's on the Ho-Runner!

Wow that's horrible, I wouldn't feel the least bid bad if I "accidentlly" rand into him with my 3rd gen. I can always get another one quick, but it takes time and dedication to make something that UGLY!

You know what you should have taken him out and we could have used the "FREE ROCKET" bail $$$ to pay your deductable, your family, seeing as this is the 4runner mafia.

dude, pegs, shocks...luckkkyyy

I'm all about the work on the body, digging the shaved handles and tailgate.

Not my style, but nonetheless very nice body work, though i agree that the color is pretty bad.

I do like the look of shaved door handles and the smooth rear hatch but come on. I hope he had to make ever part of that custom. No one sure carry kit or parts to do something that horrific to a 4runner. But maybe its just me. I like vehicels to be some what practical.

YUCK! What a waste. I hate all of the bling crap and shaved handles ect.It looks cheap. I hope that those oversized chrome rims are on the way out as far as popularity goes. I remember when the tiny, wide gold spoked wheels were the fad on sentras and preludes. Its kind of funny to see some dude in his 30s still driving his rusted out 80's prelude lowrider with the wire wheels....but I guess to each and his own.

I don't care for it myself, but keep in mind different people like different things. Look at Jason Burtman for example. His 4Runner is not an off-road king, but more of a show vehicle. Today I just passed by a Caddy with 25" wheels and spinners. I thought it looked rediculous, but I'm sure those of us with lift kits and tires are also given a rediculous look. I've had people ask me what the point of lifting a "family SUV" was. I just tell them, "Different strokes, for different folks."
